How is "On-Demand" Planning Possible?

Specifically…DeSA has put together an elegant combination of technology and methodology.

Structured profiles – called “Living Blueprints”, representing current operations and plans for a business, a series of business units, or a series of products or services – are placed in a data bank and made ready to support on-demand analysis, exploration and forecasting.  Changes that occur in the life of the business are routinely entered into Living Blueprints, keeping them up-to-date and a true reflection of current-state operations.  Information from extensive collaboration among knowledgeable personnel and frequently from internal BPM (Business Process Management) and ERP systems are used to populate the Living Blueprints.

Whenever planning is required, a pre-engineered DeSASim expert system “Engine” accesses a pertinent Living Blueprint.  Using desired assumptions, goals, constraints, and operational strategies as controls, the Engine creates a dynamic simulation of expected financial and operational performance for up to 10 years into the future.  Reports, analyses, and presentations are available for immediate use or can be archived and networked among business colleagues…for later review, comparison, modification or upgrading.  There is no waiting to prepare for planning… all that’s required is ready to use whenever or wherever the need arises.
